The xx - Sunshine (Jamie xx edit)

For their ’12 Days Of Xmas’ series, iTunes have been releasing a string of free downloads out of the kindness of their blackened, corporate hearts. Today’s download comes from The xx with the nicely titled ‘The xxmas’ EP.

The EP’s opening track is a new version of ‘Coexist’ cut Sunset, reworked by Jamie xx himself. It’s a long edit in the vein of the classic extended 12” mix – more than just a lengthier version of the original, but certainly not a drastic alteration of the source material. It’s all rather pleasant, too. You can stream it below, and download it for free by following this link.
