5 things to expect from BABii's headline show at DMY LIVE

As we edge closer to the Thursday event, we've mapped out why it'll be a night to remember...

DMY Live returns this Thursday, November 10, with an all-star line up ready to takeover Soho’s newest music hang-out The Lower Third. Headlined by BABii, the experimental Bristol-based star will be joined on the night by PC Music signee caro♡, rising hyperpop queen Roma Radz, London-based newcomer Seren 4 Ever, plus a very special guest.

The DMY Live series first took off in 2021 with a consistent range of events showcasing the best emerging talent from the capital and beyond. Where the first round offered a stage to DMY’s own roster of artists, including performances by phonewifeyLe3 bLACKHen$hawSpeedboat and many more, the second coming of DMY Live is looking further afield hosting some of the most exciting acts in the business at one of the coolest new venues about. As we edge closer to the Thursday event, we’ve highlighted 5 things that’ll make it a night to remember. Tickets can be purchased HERE.

1. BABii performing her favourite tracks from her ‘SCREAMER’ mixtape

We recently ran a feature with BABii where she walked us through the process of making her latest mixtape ‘SCREAMER’. In our chat, the electronic polymath revealed her favourite songs to perform live right now are ‘NECTA’ and ‘BUTTERFLY 11’, so you can expect to hear those tunes blaring out through the central London venue alongside her other rave anthems.

2. Experience central London’s new music venue The Lower Third

If the sound of hearing some great live music in a shiny new London venue gets you excited, then you’re in for a treat. The upcoming DMY Live show is taking place at The Lower Third, a recently opened music venue in the heart of Soho, occupying the site of the former 12 Bar on Denmark Street. Situated in an area of London nicknamed ‘Tin Pan Alley’, the venue’s location makes up an integral part of British musical history, acting as a famous hang out spot for David Bowie in the ’60s, as well as the area where The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, the Sex Pistols and Elton John all recorded or rehearsed their early works. Now looking to make a legacy of its very own, The Lower Third welcomes the DMY Live roster of BABii, caro♡, Roma Radz and Seren 4 Ever for one of its first ever shows.

3. Roma Radz bringing out a VIP special guest

It’s been just over a year since Roma Radz dropped her Y2K anthem ‘Token’, a track that would single-handedly change the trajectory of her career and place her name in the spotlight as one of hyperpop’s most exciting up-and-coming talents. Now flying high off the back of her debut EP ‘Really in Love’, the hyperpop queen will be bringing her animated, bouncy sound to the Lower Third this Thursday. The PC Music-affiliate has announced that she’ll be bringing along a very special guest for her performance – we can’t reveal any more right now but what we can say is that it’s poised to go off big time.

4. Lots of nods to UK dance music and rave culture

Don’t be surprised if things get a bit lively at the show later this week. BABii has grown up around dance music ever since she was a child, so it makes sense that her music today pays homage to the drum ‘n’ bass, garage and bassline that defined her early years. The artist told us that ‘SCREAMER’ was her funnest project to date and we’re sure it’ll will translate into an unmissable live show. Also on the bill, the likes of Roma Radz will bring the party vibes with her future-facing club-ready heaters.

5. caro♡ bringing the PC Music power

French-born, London-based producer and vocalist caro♡ will be gracing the Lower Third stage directly before BABii. The PC Music signee is one of the founding members of Planet 1999 – the first full band ever signed to the imprint – and has already collaborated with global superstar Charli XCX and supported label mate Hannah Diamond on her French tour. Her performance on Thursday is shaping up to be a truly unique experience, showing exactly why she’s a star in making.
