The next mix in our series falls into the hands of acclaimed French DJ and producer Fakear. Still in his 20's, Fakear has already taken his globally-tuned dance music across the world, playing shows from London to Tokyo, supporting Bonobo and working with the likes of MIA.

Ten years after his first steps in the industry, Fakear now returns to his roots, without looking to the past with nostalgia or contempt; but rather by contemplating his past self with kindness. Speaking about his new DMY Mix, Fakear says: "This is summer. Sweat, warmth, human contact, never-ending nights. At times ascending, sometimes slowing down. I cherish those tribal rhythmics and ambiance, it's giving the heat. I love how you can switch from this mood to a more nightly cyberpunk vibe, with the help of breakbeat and 2step. It's my thing at the moment. Switching from really heavy percussive sounds to cold and sci fi breakbeats. I find this cocktail really refreshing and never boring."
