For London band Franc Moody, standing out from the crowd has never been a problem. Threading electronic influences through a skeleton of contemporary funk, disco and soul, the duo cut their teeth among the city’s tight-knit underground warehouse scene on their way to becoming one of the most unique home-grown dance acts about.

Emboldened by the likes of Daft Punk and Jamiroquai before them, their journey to recreate classic disco and funk experiences with a modern twist saw the duo swell to 6 members, successfully bolstering their impact and status as a live act. The band’s latest single ‘Mass Appeal’ is the mark of a new era for Franc Moody, its taut, digital funk providing a quiet commentary on consumer-driven culture.
