Dummy Picks 003 // March 2013

Though we’re only rolling into the third month of the year, music seems to be in full bloom already. Our staff picks for March features the doom and gloom of Edinburgh’s Dalhous (formerly Young Hunting) and Planningtorock’s twisted, powerful vocal delivery, highlighting the romantic swells of bedroom R&B coming from London producers Bayou, Balam Acab and Oslo’s Cashmere Cat. We also got our rap game on, as per usual, including a few cuts from Mykki Blanco, Rocko, Rick Ross and Future. On the house front, there is a familiar sounding track from Lapalux’s forthcoming Brainfeeder-released album and Kangaroo, taken from Maxmillion Dunbar’s beautiful ‘House Of Woo’ LP on RVNG Intl. Closing the deal is Manchester artist Lee Gamble’s electronic glitches, remixed by L.I.E.S boss Ron Morelli and Max D. Scope the full tracklist below. Enjoy.
