Astoria Unveils Debut Album 'BORNE WORLD' Alongside Single ‘True Luck’
Astoria, the musical brainchild of New York-based artist and producer Isabelle Ennis, makes an enchanting entrance into the music scene with her debut album, 'BORNE WORLD', and the shimmering lead single, 'TRUE LUCK.'
Through experimental pop electronica, Astoria draws listeners into her intricate sonic universe, blending synths, harps, and a wide range of electronic instruments.
'BORNE WORLD', crafted over seven years, is an introspective journey through life’s cycles of death, love, and rebirth, reflecting Astoria’s personal and creative evolution.
For fans of Earth Eater, Caroline Polacheck, and Oklou, Astoria’s music offers wistful vocals and ethereal harmonies. Rooted in Asheville, North Carolina, where she lived for eight years, Astoria credits the city and her collaborators, including Adam McDaniel and Drop of Sun Studios, with shaping her sound. The album takes on added meaning following Hurricane Helene, which devastated parts of Asheville; Ennis now uses 'BORNE WORLD' to spotlight the community’s recovery.
The lead single, 'True Luck', captures Astoria’s distinctive style, with echoing synths, haunting harmonies, and a trip-hop edge that delves into philosophical themes.
Across 19 tracks, 'BORNE WORLD' tells a universal story of transformation, embracing love, loss, and renewal. A testament to her creative spirit, Astoria’s debut resonates as both a deeply personal reflection and an invitation for listeners to explore life’s powerful cycles of change.
'BORNE WORLD' is out now.
