Bricknasty Announce New EP 'forever' and Share New Single 'the dom perignons'
Dublin collective Bricknasty have announced their new EP 'forever', landing November 4th via FAMM, alongside new single 'the dom perignons'.
Written in just a few weeks, the seven-track project is the band's most direct and hook-driven to date, pulling from dance, R&B, trad folk, jazz and hip hop to deliver bigger choruses and sharper melodies without losing the genre-hopping unpredictability that's defined them across three prior tapes. "Before, we made it rocket science, but it's not rocket science," says the band's Fatboy. "It's easy - just nice riffs, nice parts."
'the dom perignons' sets the tone, layering sweeping strings and shimmering synths over early-2000s R&B and hip hop textures; a sharper, more electronic turn following summer singles 'bobinov' and 'honey bee'.
The announcement follows a breakout year for the band off the back of last year's 'BLACKS LAW', which led to two North American tours and major festival stages including All Points East, Way Out West and Forbidden Fruit. That run of live shows shaped 'forever' directly - a record built with the stage in mind, designed to land fast and move a crowd.
'the dom perignons' is out now via FAMM.
