Chairlift - Sidewalk Safari [stream]

Hot-stepping on the heels of Amanaemonesia (check the video we posted last month) is this woozy pop number from New York’s Chairlift. Sidewalk Safari has a decidedly late 70s twang to it, like Blondie on a comedown, taking no prisoners on the walk home with the last song echoing round her head. There’s even a Rapture-esque ‘rap’ in the second half. It’s the second taste of their second album ‘Something’, which, it’s just been announced, will be coming out on Young Turks in January.
