DBL A Shares Message of Self-Acceptance on New Single, 'OWN TERMS'
Genre-bending artist, DBL A, is back with new single, 'OWN TERMS', another link up with fellow Manny-based producer, B-seen.
'OWN TERMS' gives another taste of DBL A's upcoming project, following previous single, 'HOMESOUP'.
Continuing his analytical approach, DBL A dives into themes of loss, self-indulgence, and self-acceptance on the new track that's all about "getting things on your own terms," and looking at the positives during hard times.
On the production, B-seen fuses skippy dance music drums with an 80s synth pop sound, creating a contemplative feel, the ideal environment for DBL A's considered flow on the verse and nonchalant delivery in the chorus.
Hailing from York but now based in the vibrant musical hub of Manchester, DBL A notes artists like Sampha, Jeshi, Louis Culture, and Denzel Himself amongst his key influences.
DBL A's ‘Like Flowers in Flames' project is promised soon.
'OWN TERMS' is out now.
