Dean Blunt has collaborated with Tirzah on a brand new single under his Babyfather alias, titled ‘1471’.

Out today on Blunt’s World Music label, the track marks the first Babyfather release since 2020’s double-single ‘Aug Freestyle / MANNA’ with Vegyn and John Glacier.

The pair previously collaborated on ‘Recipe’, a track from Tirzah’s 2021 album ‘Colourgrade’. Now reviving their creative partnership, the latest offering from Blunt features vocals from Tirzah and DJ Escrow – one of the World Music label head’s elusive characters who first appeared on Babyfather’s 2016 project ‘”BBF” Hosted By DJ Escrow’.

Throughout the single, which is punctuated with a distinct Dean Blunt touch on production, Escrow shouts out areas in London such as Camberwell Green before the South East London songstress drops back in with her candid melodies.

‘1471’ is Blunt’s second release in quick succession following ‘death drive freestyle,’ which landed quietly on November 5. Back in July, the East London artist leaked ‘London Tonight Freestyle’ on his since deleted Youtube channel, featuring Skepta, A$AP Rocky and Novelist. Fans online were quick to label the freestyle “history right here” as well as calling it a “legendary link up”.
