FLISS' sultry situationship anthem 'ON UR VIBE' and music video

Chester-born singer-songwriter FLISS announces an upcoming EP and drops ‘ON UR VIBE’, another sultry situationship anthem hot off the heels of last single release ‘Oxygen’ getting airplay on Radio 1, and her collaborative track ‘Hooked On You’ that she wrote with The Mouse Outfit and gained 80k streams with. FLISS self-released her first single ‘Mxxnlight’ in 2019 and continues to develop her mix of R&B, hazy soul and a drop of pop with ‘ON UR VIBE’ backing vocal arrangements come from Victoria Jane.

Slightly darker in tone than previous work, the track details the somewhat emotionless arrangements a lot of people have with ‘sneaky links’ where you are each other’s in the moment but can pass each other at an event without even so much as an acknowledgment, which is what keeps it exciting.

On the new single, FLISS says, “I think the pandemic has really made us all look inward. The quiet solitude has helped us reflect on what we want for ourselves and what we want from love; it has changed the way my peers and I treat each other and ourselves for the better.”

She stars in the seductive music video directed by Shaun Peckham for the new single, and fans can expect a full EP to follow from this exciting new addition to Manchester’s music scene, written fully in partnership with producer Mattu, co-writer of Nina Cobham’s ‘Sola’.
