New Delhi’s very own KAVYA is back with her latest single, 'I was Thinking', diving deep into the complexities of competition — both internal and external.

Produced by Sandunes (Sanaya Ardeshir) and Citizen Kna (Krishna Jhaveri), the track captures the struggle of comparing oneself to others and the journey to conquer our own mental barriers.

Known for her genre-fluid style, KAVYA has evolved from her R&B and electronic roots into a more experimental and cinematic sound. The new single encapsulates this growth, blending haunting melodies with lush, textured production that creates a contemplative yet powerful atmosphere. As always, KAVYA’s voice is at the forefront, conveying raw emotion and a sense of determination.

“The song is about acknowledging that we are our own biggest competition,” she shares. “To reach our highest potential, we need to silence the internal chatter and stop measuring ourselves against others.”

Having started her solo career in 2016, KAVYA’s sonic journey continues to push boundaries, embracing diverse influences while staying true to her emotive core.
