klurax blends '90s rave with '00s indie on new EP 'klurax 3'
Finishing off what she started back in 2022, klurax releases her latest, long-awaited EP 'klurax 3'.
The New York-based bedroom producer and singer/songwriter has used the last few months to steadily drip feed tracks from the new project into the world.
Following on from 'enough', which came out earlier this month, and October's 'u me forever', the full body of work consists of six genre-spanning songs, splicing elements of 90s electronic dance music with 2000s pop, indie, emo and shoegaze.
The EP explores the space between light and dark, the cute and the scary, helming a rich sonic landscape which is lush, warm, and rhythmic. Across the track-list, klurax mixes sampled breakbeats, lo-fi sounds, glitchy drums and spacey vocals, mining the edges of UK garage, jungle, drum 'n' bass and industrial while maintaining her trademark 'pop girl' twist.
