Komanii Captures Euphoria in 'Last Days of Summer' EP
London-based rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer Komanii returns with his latest project, 'Last Days of Summer,' a euphoric, high-energy EP that bottles the joy and freedom of the season’s final moments.
Seamlessly blending Afrobeats, House, and Hip-Hop influences, Komanii crafts infectious rhythms and uplifting melodies designed to keep listeners dancing long after the sun sets.
“This isn’t just a playlist - it’s a soundtrack for sunsets, spontaneous nights, and the freedom of late summer,” Komanii shares. The EP captures both the celebratory energy of summer and the bittersweet edge of its passing, offering a sonic experience that moves body and soul alike.
Born in Nairobi, Kenya and now making waves in London, Komanii’s artistry is rooted in soulful melodies, razor-sharp lyricism, and a dedication to storytelling. His journey began in the US during college, where he started producing and writing, inspired by the likes of Chance the Rapper, Aminé, and Childish Gambino. His 2018 debut EP Niko Tayari introduced his innovative style, while collaborations like Gala with Ayon Mukherji and Elrim further expanded his reach.
Since then, Komanii has built a reputation as one of the UK’s most versatile new voices, with standout singles including 'Habibi Cafe', 'Try Understand,' 'TWENDE,' and 2025’s anthems 'HURRA,' '254,' and 'Back To You.' Beyond performing, he is deeply involved in every step of his craft: mixing, mastering, producing for others, and even designing his own visuals.
With 'Last Days of Summer,' Komanii continues to push genre boundaries, channeling influences from J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Dave, JID, and SZA into a truly global sound.
