Mount Kimbie and King Krule reignite their long-standing partnership on new single 'Boxing'
Mount Kimbie and King Krule have teamed up on a brand new single 'Boxing'.
Released last night (September 14) as a Bandcamp exclusive, the track is the latest in a long-running string of collaborations between the electronic duo and the South London guitar slinger - who have previously joined forces on 'Blue Train Lines', 'Turtle Neck Man', 'You Took Your Time' and 'Meter, Pale, Tone'.
Anticipation surrounding a new joint release began to build over the last week after both parties hinted at new music on Instagram. On Monday, Mount Kimbie posted a photo of themselves with the caption: "Bandcamp exclusive coming this week, featuring long time collaborator."
'Boxing' is a stripped-back number splicing Mount Kimbie's washed-out shoegaze influence with Krule's hypnotic chord progressions and vocals. Giving the fans what they want while producing something different from anything they've done together before, this is an undeniably dreamy tune to get lost in.
The track is available on Bandcamp until Thursday September 21st 2023.
