NIVEN Unveils 'Disappear A21 Sketch' EP
Electronic artist and producer NIVEN has unveiled their latest EP, 'Disappear A21 Sketch', a vulnerable and experimental body of work that serves as a precursor to their forthcoming album, 'If I Was to Die', due in March.
With roots in Leicester and a history steeped in underground dance music, NIVEN’s evolution into a vocal-driven, alternative electronica artist is on full display here.
The EP is a sonic time capsule, featuring tracks written during a challenging period three to four years ago. “My vocals are fragile, and the mixes are rougher, but I felt it was time for the world to hear this deeply personal work,” NIVEN shares. Drawing inspiration from artists like James Blake and Bon Iver, the EP blends strange tempos, unconventional chords, and introspective storytelling.
Accompanying this introspection is artwork photographed in the intimate setting of NIVEN’s mother’s home, reflecting the deeply personal nature of the project.
Looking ahead, NIVEN is already exploring new creative frontiers, collaborating with R&B star Ryan Trey on a project that promises to push the boundaries of hip-hop and R&B.
