'So Far, Still Going' EP: Dámì Sule might be Manchester's smoothest new rapper
The roll-out for Dámì Sule's new EP 'So Far, Still Going' began back in 2022, with the Manchester rapper drip-feeding a number of laid-back anthems into the stratosphere.
Tracks such as ‘Taking L’s’, ‘Hide & Seek’ and ‘Rolling Deep’ have already done the rounds, drawing upon the dreamy UK rap sound the artist is steadily carving out for himself.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria but raised as a Mancunian, the people of 0161 have a real gem on their hands with this rising prospect. His journey into rap was a fairly unconventional one, beginning with a love for poetry before discovering he could convey even more emotion while speaking over a beat.
Having a way with words is a vital tool in Sule's artillery, who showcases his lyrical dexterity in full-flow on the new project. The EP drops with with two previously unheard tracks 'Let It Go' and 'So Far (poem)' - the latter seeing Dámì return to his poetry roots with a thought-provoking, emotionally-charged spoken word cut.
