Todd Edwards enlists Skepta, Jammer, salute and more for 'Shut The Door' remix

Skepta said his teenage self is "running around the block in excitement..."

Todd Edwards has enlisted the likes of Skepta and salute to remix his UK garage classic, ‘Shut The Door’, to mark the track's 20th anniversary.

Out next week via Defected Records, the tune has received reworks from salute, Skepta and Jammer, Lucas Alexander and Reiss Ruben.

Skepta and Jammer are first in line to drop their version of the track, adding their own twist under their Más Tiempo alias, a newly launched house label fronted by the grime legends.

Edwards wrote: “How blessed am I??? That Skepta AND Jammer produced an EPIC remix of my track Shut The Door! BIG BIG thanks to them and Defected Records for making this magic happen!”

Skepta replied to the remix announcement: “18 year old me running around the block in excitement”.

It's no secret that Skepta is a big fan of the UK garage pioneer. The rapper has continued to share his admiration for Edwards over the years, including Tweets such as one in 2010 in which he wrote: “#nowplaying Todd Edwards - Shut The Door on repeat. It might make me cry if I'm not careful. Emotional Music. Those who know will understand”.

Todd Edwards’ ‘Shut The Door (Remixes)’ is out via Defected on August 18.
