Four Tet is working on a new album

The forthcoming project will be his first in three years...

Four Tet has announced he's working on his 12th studio album.

The producer - real name Kieran Hebden - tweeted “TEXT055 soon” last Wednesday, alluding to the next record in the Text Records catalogue. He followed this up by writing “I'm working on the new album”.

“And I'm working on the live set for the Squidsoup shows,” he added in a string of tweets.

He also said: “Planning to get new music out before the shows start. Got stuff I'm making with William Tyler too."

The forthcoming project will be Hebden's first under the Four Tet alias since 'Parallel' landed on Christmas Day back in 2020. Since the release of that surprise 10-track project, Hebden has released a number of tracks under his ⣎⡇ꉺლ༽இ•̛)ྀ◞ ༎ຶ ༽ৣৢ؞ৢ؞ؖ ꉺლ alias, as well as the monikers KH and 00110100 01010100.

Hebden announced the reissue of the seminal 2003 record 'Happiness' earlier this month too, made alongside his old band Fridge to mark the album's 20th anniversary.

As of yet, no further details of the new Four Tet record have been confirmed.
