GALA Celebrate a Decade of Underground Culture with New Compilation ‘Ten Years of GALA’

London festival marks milestone with 15-track release featuring Chaos In The CBD, KiNK, Yu Su and more.

GALA has announced 'Ten Years of GALA,' a new compilation celebrating a decade of community-driven club culture and independent spirit.

Since launching in 2016 as a one-day gathering in South London, GALA has evolved into one of the capital’s most respected electronic festivals, known for prioritising connection, curation and creativity over sheer scale. That ethos sits at the heart of this anniversary release, which gathers artists from across the festival’s extended orbit rather than offering a straightforward greatest-hits retrospective.

Spanning 15 tracks, the compilation opens with a spoken-word contribution from Charlie Dark before moving through soulful electronics, leftfield grooves and club-focused rhythms. Contributors include Joe Armon Jones and Maxwell Owin, Dreamcastmoe, Marcellus Pittman, KiNK featuring Rachel Row, Call Super, Yu Su, Suze Ijó, NIKS and Chaos In The CBD.

Rather than defining one singular GALA sound, the project reflects the diversity and openness that has shaped the festival since day one. It’s less a look backwards than a marker of where underground culture has been—and where it could go next.

As GALA enters its second decade, 'Ten Years of GALA' lands as a fitting statement: rooted in community, powered by curiosity, and still moving to its own rhythm.
