Orbital chart their first Top 10 album in 24 years with 'Optical Delusion'
Orbital have scored their first UK Album Chart Top 10 position since 1999's 'Middle Of Nowhere' with their critically acclaimed new album 'Optical Delusion'.
Entering the album chart last week at No.6, 'Optical Delusion' has also been one of the Hartnoll brothers' most well received albums to date.
"We are so happy to be at number 6 in the charts," comment the seminal electronic duo, "It's our first time in the top ten this millennium! Be seeing you!"
'Optical Delusion' includes 'Dirty Rat' with Sleaford Mods as well as new single 'Are You Alive?' featuring Penelope Isles. The record is the latest in a burst of renewed post-pandemic creativity for two brothers who've stayed at the top of their game longer than anyone from the post-1988 Class of Acid House.
Orbital will take the album on tour in the spring, with the Optical Delusion UK & Eire Tour kicking off on March 16th in Limerick and culminating in Brighton where both the brothers are based.
