Pioneer DJ is hosting a free industry mixer event in London this weekend
Pioneer DJ has announced it'll be hosting its 'Start From Scratch' industry mixer event this Saturday at BoxPark Wembley.
Totally free for people to come along to, the day event will feature talks and masterclasses from artists and professionals, geared towards those wanting to get into the industry or learn more about DJing.
Launched in 2022, Start From Scratch is a new sub-brand by Pioneer DJ aimed at supporting those interested in DJing from underrepresented communities. Initially offering free-of-charge courses with accredited DJ schools, Pioneer DJ offers the chance to gain access to its equipment and training to become a DJ.
Taking place July 15, participants will immerse themselves in a day filled with talks, demos and performances by the Start From Scratch alumni. From 11:30 to 18:30, guests will have an exclusive opportunity to engage with industry experts and gain valuable knowledge across a range of compelling topics, which include: PR and Record Labels within the Music Industry, Introduction to Radio DJing, and Tips & Tricks for Club Mixing.
Guests on the day will include Damien Platt from Glasgow Underground, Shayna Marie from Westside Radio and Capital Xtra, and Terry Ryan, owner of On The Rise DJ Academy.
