Premiere: Linden Jay feat. Ruby Wood - Break The Hold (Mokadem remix)

Mokadem is a new producer from South London whose earliest releases – remixes for the likes of Lana Del Rey and White Lies – earned early support from the likes of Rob Da Bank and Lauren Laverne. Since then she's been busy, touring as Syron's DJ and appearing on Melodica Recordings' 'Night Bus' compilation. Oh, and she released her debut EP earlier this week.

Mokadem's latest track is a remix of Linden Jay's Break The Hold. "Night Bus" is probably the best phrase to associate with it, as she adds ghostly, late night ambience to Jay's R&B-flavoured vocal (which, naturally, gets chipmunked along the way), setting it all to a solid steel pan house rhythm.
