Future Brown sign to Warp!
Future Brown, the supergroup comprising Fatima Al Qadiri, Daniel Pineda and Asma Maroof of Nguzunguzu, and J-Cush, have signed to Warp Records.
Making a hi-tech version of modern, black music styles – rap, grime, dancehall, and R&B predominantly, as well as footwork and ballroom house – Future Brown's brilliant debut songs Wanna Party and World's Mine were, amazingly, actually unsigned up until now, and have not been available for purchase despite having been put out about a year ago.
That'll change shortly, with Warp releasing the single on November 3rd. We're sure that an album will appear further down the line – reportedly they've already got one complete, having worked with artists like Kelela, Shawnna, Maluca, Riko Dan, and Ian Isiah – but for now, they've stuck a remix of Wanna Party online, featuring an additional guest spot from 3D Na'tee.
Future Brown Wanna Party / World’s Mine tracklist:
01. Wanna Party (feat. Tink)
02. Wanna Party Remix (feat. Tink and 3D Na’Tee)
03. World’s Mine (feat. Prince Rapid, Dirty Danger and Roachee)
04. World’s Mine (Instrumental)
Tour dates:
October 24th: Ekko Fest, Bergen
November 7th: Club 2 Club, Turin
December 4th: PAMM Presents, Miami
Warp Records release Wanna Party / World's Mine on November 3rd 2014 (pre-order).
