Aphex Twin, James Blake and Shanti Celeste front our ELECTRONICS playlist
Check out these tracks from our ELECTRONICS playlist, which is dedicated to bringing you the best music from across the dance spectrum.
1. Aphex Twin - 'Blackbox Life Recorder 21f'
The end of June saw Aphex Twin return in style with a new single to mark the announcement of his first EP in five years. Titled 'Blackbox Life Recorder 21f', the elusive producer's latest offering sees him at his scintillating best. Arriving shortly before Aphex Twin is due to headline London's Field Day festival and Lisbon's Kalorama festival, it's likely he will debut some of the new material in a live setting later this summer.
2. James Blake - 'Big Hammer'
Last week, James Blake announced his forthcoming album 'Playing Robots Into Heaven' with a surprising new offering. 'Big Hammer' is worlds apart from the usual avant-garde vocal offerings that we’re used to hearing. Instead, the Blake delves deeper into his own sonic universe with a twitchy, experimental electronic affair made for the dance floor. We can't wait to hear what the rest of the album has to offer.
3. Shanti Celeste - 'Fluffy'
Further cementing the creative partnership of one of dance music’s most beloved pairings, Shanti Celeste and Saoirse, this new track comes off the back of the duo's curated night at fabric back in February. Delivering Shanti Celeste’s signature and vivacious flair across 6:25 minutes of bass and bounce, it's easily one of our favourite dance tracks this month.
