This week, Sega Bodega’s new single ‘Kepko’ caught our attention, marking the UK creators first track since the release of his lauded sophomore album ‘Romeo’. Having emerged as one of the most innovative creative minds about in recent years, the producer is continuing to put out some outstanding work as 2022 draws to a close. Elusive outfit SAULT also made a splash in our NEXT HYPE update this time round, using the momentum they picked up dropping 5 free to download projects earlier in the month to put out their seventh studio album ’11’. Taken from the new record, ‘Fight For Love’ is song of hope showing everything the mysterious British funk group stand for. Elsewhere, pulling from grime, garage and hip hop, UK rap prodigy jeshi shared ‘Hit By A Train (Bad Day At The Office Version)’, a rendition of one of his debut album’s hit tracks from a live cinematic performance film A Bad Day At The Office. Other artists to feature in our playlist this week include slowthai with his new single ‘i know nothing’ and Cameo Blush, who makes a return to Ross From Friends’ Scarlet Tiger imprint with his latest cut ‘Silkworm’.
