Okay Kaya - Damn, Gravity

We talked a bit about Okay Kaya last week: she's an artist from New York who makes gorgeous, melodic music with a hint of sadness. After a five-song mixtape last year, she debuted her first proper song Damn, Gravity, produced by Rodaidh McDonald (King Krule, The xx, How To Dress Well, etc.).

Damn, Gravity wasn't a particularly fussy song: it just did what it did, really well. It's got a video now that's pretty similar in that respect, taking a really simple visual concept – in this case, the selfie – but executing it with straightforwardness and flair.
