Premiere: Julia Kent - Transportation

Cello and found sound composer Julia Kent’s tremendous recent album ‘Character’, which we were thrilled to premiere on Dummy and went on to become our album of the week, is one that swallows you whole from the off. In this graceful video for central track Transportation, the album’s spellbinding effect is brought to life with a parade of light-on-water patterns. If you squint, the rippling light almost looks like ballet dancers telling an ancient story through the curves of their bodies.
