Talia Goddess dives into New York's underground party scene in stunning visual for 'RAGGA'
When Talia Goddess dropped her ‘Poster Girl’ EP back in 2021 she solidified her status as a creative powerhouse who was here to stay. Now, following a small hiatus, the New York songstress returns with a fiery new single and music video proving why she’s still one of the most exciting up-and-coming artists about.
Entitled ‘RAGGA’, the new offering is an explosive fusion of dancehall paying homage to her Caribbean roots as a first generation native New Yorker.
Sonically (and visually) the single harks back to the underground youth scene that Goddess emerged from as a teenager and artist in the Big Apple. Kicking off with an onslaught of dub sirens and ominous synths, Talia jumps upon the dark-edged beat with the braggadocio and un-flinching attitude we’ve come to expect from the artist so far.
Co-directed by Talia herself, the fierce visual accompaniment wouldn’t look out of place on the big screen, blending cinematic camera shots and dazzling visual effects to bring the grittiness of New York’s party culture into frame.
