TaliaBle explores the crossroads of her mind in new single and visual 'MEZMERIZED'

"Like a lot of us...my mind was held hostage to a thousand thoughts falling at once..."

North Londoner TaliaBle is staking her claim as one of the most intriguing emerging artists about right now with her latest single and music video ‘MEZMERIZED’.

The new offering is the rapper and visual artist’s first release since June’s ‘To Trudge In Zundon’, the final project for her university course reimagining how estates can be represented through a queer lens.

Adopting a similarly thought-provoking approach this time round, TaliaBle descends into the depths of her own mind, punctuating her unapologetically dysfunctional rap style with a haze of London surrealism.

“Like a lot of us…my mind was held hostage to a thousand thoughts falling at once one night,” says the Tottenham-hailing songstress. “It felt like all of the negative experiences in life were merging into this one thing, like a cross road of mishaps. This track emulates that revolving experience of internally sieving through which voice to address first – yet outwardly appearing zen.”

The video for ‘MEZMERIZED’ marks a noticeable departure from the DIY approach of her recent visual EP, enlisting multi-disciplinary artist Jasmine Mahé Darlington as director to bring Talia’s ideas to life. Conceptualising the rapper’s revolving inner-thoughts, the cinematic music video skips between the countryside and the city, deploying an array of striking 360 degree camera shots that place TaliaBle at the centre of her own universe.
