TYSON and Albertina join forces on sultry new visual 'Don't Let Me Go'

"We created a story and brought it to life..."

TYSON returns today with her first new music since the release of 'Can’t Be Unstuck' featuring Coby Sey back in January.

Titled 'Don't Let Me Go', the singer/songwriter, LMP Recordings co-owner and Dean Blunt collaborator unveils her latest single featuring DMY signee Albertina, a hopelessly romantic slow jam steeped in Y2K nostalgia that marks a new chapter for the Londoner.

Speaking on the track and working with Albertina, TYSON says: “The song is about being lost in that first madness you feel when you get with someone. The physicality and emotions totally take you over and you're drunk, totally consumed by it.

"We laughed at how ridiculous it can sometimes be," she continues. "We both love playing around with the dynamic between being overly dramatic and completely unserious, so we decided to write an R&B song with 1000 vocal layers and runs, and endless drama. I love it. Working with Albertina is so free and inspiring. We created a story and brought it to life.”

Albertina adds: "TYSON and I wrote this R&B song about drowning in romance and lust and the desire of touch and holding on. We played around the idea of manipulation and control that evolves in intimate relationships. At the time I had a huge crush on this super hot guy and I was thinking about him. We love humour and thought how dramatic lust can sometimes be that you simply don't want to let go.”

The accompanying video directed by Nothing Yet takes on an old school aesthetic to match the vibe of the song and captures the fluidity and playfulness between the two artists.

Albertina recently dropped a self-directed short film stretching the entire track list of her latest EP 'Waiting 4 Life'.
