Belle Chen Shares Sun-Drenched New Single ‘Breezy’ Ahead of European Tour

The London-based composer returns with a carefree neo-classical release inspired by coastal freedom.

Belle Chen has released her new single 'Breezy,' a warm and uplifting neo-classical track arriving via Platoon today.

Following the success of her 2024 album 'Ravel In The Forest '- which landed at No.7 on the UK Specialist Classical chart and No.15 on Australia’s ARIA Classical chart - 'Breezy' sees Chen lean into lighter, more playful territory. Built around layers of piano, synths and electric piano, the track also features cello from Australian musician William Jack.

The single was inspired by a feeling of complete freedom. “With ‘Breezy,’ I wanted to catch summery air in the hair, the type of feeling you get when driving or riding along the coast with the windows down,” Chen explained. Ironically, the track was written during London’s dark winter months in 2024.

Known for blending classical composition with experimental electronics, Chen has earned praise from Brian Eno, who described her work as “original and provocative.”

Her music has also appeared at events including London Fashion Week and Shanghai Fashion Week, while her live performances have taken her to Royal Albert Hall, Latitude Festival and EFG London Jazz Festival.

Chen is currently embarking on an extensive UK and European tour, with several dates already sold out.

Last dates remaining:

20/05 – Southampton, UK – Tickets
23/05 – London, UK – Tickets
24/05 – Dublin, Ireland – Tickets

'Breezy' is out now via Platoon.
