Electronic duo Cut Face make a striking introduction with their debut EP 'You’ll Never Get The Same Moment Twice,' a five-track project that plunges headfirst into themes of chaos, addiction, emotional fallout and self-acceptance.
Out now, the Toulouse-based duo - made up of French producer Body Hook and British vocalist Tacita Grace - deliver a raw and uncompromising release that fuses garage, jungle and darkwave into something visceral, cinematic and emotionally charged.
Built through sleepless studio sessions, DIY experimentation and an unfiltered creative chemistry, the EP captures the darker corners of modern life with brutal honesty. Across the release, Tacita Grace explores toxic relationships, self-destructive behaviour and emotional healing, framing each track as part of a wider journey through pain and acceptance. The title track, 'You’ll Never Get The Same Moment Twice,' acts as the emotional centrepiece, a reflective and melancholic meditation on memory, impermanence and the marks left behind by fleeting moments.
Sonically, Cut Face channel the intensity of acts like The Prodigy, New Order and IDLES, balancing punishing breakbeats and distorted textures with atmospheric restraint and emotional depth. Body Hook’s production thrives on tension, pairing industrial energy with immersive sound design that hits as hard emotionally as it does physically.
The project has already picked up support from BBC 6 Music, Datatransmission and DMC Magazine, while renowned jungle innovator Tim Reaper is set to release a remix from the EP later this summer — further cementing Cut Face’s growing reputation within underground electronic circles.
