Dean Blunt, Joanne Robertson and Elias Rønnenfelt Surprise Release Collaborative Album

Trio have dropped the collaborative album 'ancnt grz ’22-25'

Shared without prior announcement via a downloadable MediaFire link, the 11-track project runs for just under 14 minutes and continues the trio's longstanding creative relationship.

Robertson and Blunt previously collaborated on 2024's 'Backstage Raver', which also featured Rønnenfelt on the track 'repeat offenders', making 'ancnt grz ’22-25' a natural extension of their shared creative world.

The release blends sparse acoustic arrangements, hazy electronics and lo-fi experimentation, with vocal duties shared between all three artists. A number of guest appearances are also woven throughout the project, including contributions from A$AP Rocky, Jeremih, Vegyn, Wraith9, evilgiane and The Last Artful, Dodgr.

While little has been revealed about the project's origins, all three artists simultaneously shared the release online, adding to the mysterious rollout that has become synonymous with Blunt's output. Alongside the downloadable ZIP file, the album has also surfaced online as a continuous stream, offering another cryptic addition to one of alternative music's most unpredictable collaborative partnerships.
