Dámì Sule delivers timeless UK rap cut geared for summer 'Happy For Myself'
Rising rapper Dámì Sule returns with a vibrant new single just in time for the summer months.
Diving into themes of joy and growth, the catchy melodies on 'Happy For Myself' are matched with some cool new visuals showcasing Dámì on his pursuit of happiness.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria but raised as a Mancunian, the people of 0161 have a real gem on their hands with this rising prospect. His journey into rap was a fairly unconventional one, beginning with a love for poetry before discovering he could convey even more emotion while speaking over a beat.
Speaking about the new track, Sule says: “I wrote this song from a moment of true unhappiness but in this moment I felt really compelled to look at myself and my career and find gratitude and solace. It's really just a reminder for me to be happy for myself and my little accomplishments and also just a reminder to smile and keep going.”
