KAVYA Teams Up With Iron Curtis On Dual 'LYHD' Remixes

Two spins breathe new life into the original single, 'Lay Your Head Down', from 2021.

Delhi-based electronic artist KAVYA has called up Berlin DJ/producer Iron Curtis (aka Johannes Paluka) for not one, but two remixes.

The reworks will form part of KAVYA's 'Know Me Better' remix EP, which has already seen a rework of 'MN' by London's Kristy Harper add a club-centric taste.

Known for his complex and hauntingly beautiful productions traversing House, Acid and Soulful Techno, German artist Iron Curtis has taken KAVYA's 2021 track, 'Lay Your Head Down', and produced two remixes. Both 'Restless Mix' and 'Hotfix' are available to stream today, adding new dimensions to KAVYA's artistry by injecting the flavour of new electronic soundscapes to her existing sonic world.

Two sides of the same coin, Iron Curtis' remixes hold striking similarities at first, both holding a somewhat steamy and unsettling edge in the beginning, before settling into a danceable House production. But on closer inspection, each remix holds its own world inside, inviting listens again and again.

KAVYA has been nostalgically revisiting her debut EP ahead of dropping her second EP, ‘Hyperreal’, later this year. The upcoming body of work will showcase an evolution in KAVYA's existing production, adding a gritty edge to her vocals while exploring folklore through the lens of cinematic sounds.
