Louis Culture's new single 'CITY' is an ode to after-hours London

"The song encapsulates the pace of London life to me..."

South Londoner Louis Culture is back with his first piece of music since dropping his acclaimed EP 'When Life Presents Obstacle' last year.

Simply titled 'CITY', the new single sees Louis once again link up with producer YAMA//SATO. Evoking the nostalgia of the after party and early morning cab rides home, Culture's latest offering is a wavy UK garage inspired number showing exactly why he's renowned as one of the capital's most exciting rising figures.

"City is just an extension of my and YAMA//SATO’s relationship," the rapper says. "I feel like artistically his sonics push me into new spaces but very much reflect nostalgia. The song encapsulates the pace of London life to me. But I feel like it can speak to anyone no matter where they are.”

Speaking on the pair's creative bond, Culture adds: “Mine and YAMA//SATO’s relationship started just through mutual respect for each other’s work. We both have very wide ranges of influences that we try to channel in our music and I feel it is a staple in our bond. That, and being both from big cities with lots of similarities. 7AM was just the beginning."
