Lucia & The Best Boys Link Up With The Last Dinner Party's Abigail Morris For 'Big Romance'
Lucia & The Best Boys have shared new single Big Romance,' a dramatic, emotionally charged collaboration with Abigail Morris of The Last Dinner Party.
Released via Communion Records, the track arrives alongside a cinematic video directed by Sal Redpath and continues the rollout for the band’s forthcoming album 'Picking Petals,' due 31 July.
Built on lush baroque-pop textures and soaring vocal interplay, 'Big Romance' captures the deep creative and personal connection between Lucia Fairfull and Morris - a friendship that stretches back years before The Last Dinner Party’s meteoric rise. Morris previously performed keyboard duties for Lucia & The Best Boys on early Scottish tour dates, and her presence on the new single feels both full-circle and deeply personal.
“She’s the one who pushed me to keep going with the song,” Fairfull explains, revealing that 'Big Romance' first began taking shape when she was 22 years old. That emotional longevity pulses through the track, which balances theatrical intensity with vulnerability and warmth.
The single follows a run of packed festival appearances at The Great Escape, Get Together and Dot to Dot, further building momentum ahead of 'Picking Petals' - a record rooted in Scottish identity, creative resilience and community.
Lucia & The Best Boys will celebrate the album’s release with their biggest headline show yet at Glasgow’s legendary Barrowland Ballroom this October.
'Big Romance' is out now.
