TYSON announces 'Sunsetters / Daybreakers' mixtape, shares new single

The Dean Blunt collaborator's new track is about "claiming your power in a situation where you know you’re being used"

After enlisting Albertina for her romantic slow jam 'Don't Let Me Go' back in June, TYSON returns with news of her next mixtape, 'Sunsetters / Daybreakers'.

A collection of eight love and break-up songs that soundtrack those introspective moments when you’re getting ready for the club, the forthcoming EP includes the Albertina collaboration as well as the previously released 'Can't Be Unstuck' featuring Coby Sey.

Coinciding with the announcement, the underground star shares a new single lifted from the project, 'Promises'. TYSON explains: “'Promises' is about claiming your power in a situation where you know you’re being used. It’s about taking responsibility for the chaos you seek out and accepting the parts of it you must like. It’s about a person who felt they had to promise you the world for you to let them in but they could have just been honest. You see their games, and you like playing too.”

With its lo-fi energy and gritty London influences, 'Sunsetters / Daybreakers' is TYSON’s most experimental work to date and further cements her as a formidable artist taking charge of their destiny.
