yunè pinku drops mesmerising new single 'Heartbeat'
Malaysian Irish producer and songwriter yunè pinku shares her new single 'Heartbeat'.
Delicate and deeply emotive, the teenager's latest offering is a propulsive ballad with a dark heart, featuring slowly arpeggiated chords, mutating garage drum-work and pinku’s trademark wistful and introspective lyricism to intoxicating effect.
The track is lifted from yunè pinku's forthcoming EP 'BABYLON IX', out 28th April via Platoon, a project which breathtakingly broadens the rising star’s sonic universe.
Consisting of 6 tracks, the new project imagines a rave in outer space. Written from a fever dream-induced lens, it’s a move away from the “sad girl garage” pinku has been making previously and envisions a glossy, sci-fi landscape with huge, structured pop songs bolstered by her ethereal electronics.
