Brighton’s Mutations Festival Announces Final Acts Joining 2026 Line-Up
Mutations Festival has announced the final 23 acts for its eighth edition, rounding out a bill of more than 90 artists across ten of Brighton's grassroots venues on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th October.
Newly added to Friday's bill are Jeffrey Lewis & The Voltage, O., GB, Silverwingkiller, Humane, Opal Mag, M.Woodroe, Divorce Attorney, Oral Habit, Die Twice, Maximilian, The Stanford Family Band, Zo Lief and The Mink, joining headliners Fat Dog, Squid and Basht. Saturday gains Tara Clerkin Trio, Snayx, DJ Food, Hank, Jo From School, Post Common, Night Swimming, Josephine Illingworth and Ninush, who slot in alongside Dove Ellis, Alex Cameron and Little Grandad.
The headliners are the real draw. Fat Dog return to the city after a quiet spell, now a seven-piece with new music in tow, and with Joe Love leading the charge they step up from rabble-rousers to top of the bill. On Saturday, Mike D 5D closes things out, a booking with serious pedigree. The Beastie Boys co-founder released his debut solo album in August, the first full-length from a Beastie Boys alumnus since 2011, and his set will be the first live show from a member of the group in Brighton since the band played the Brighton Centre with Run-DMC on the Licensed to Ill tour in May 1987.
Elsewhere, the lineup stretches from Mercury-nominated Irish songwriter Dove Ellis and returning headliners Squid to Working Men's Club, Bdrmm, UNKLE Sounds, Lip Critic, Panic Shack, the north and Tokyo's bed, with Walt Disco, Warhaus and The Besnard Lakes also on the bill.
Mutations has long built its reputation on catching artists on the way up. Past editions have hosted early shows from CMAT, Yard Act, The Last Dinner Party, English Teacher, Kneecap and Lambrini Girls, who headlined last year with their biggest hometown set to date.
Venues for 2026 include Chalk, Patterns, Revenge, The Hope & Ruin, Green Door Store, Dust, The Prince Albert, Folklore Rooms, Alphabet and Daltons. Very limited tickets remain via mutationsfestival.com.
