After a string of celebrated 12”s on Pictures, Welsh-born Dauwd Al Hilali is returning to the label in a joint release with Ghostly. His upcoming EP, titled ‘Heat Division’, sees the producer moving away from his usual sound, and the first track to be given a preview, And, is rich in complexity and texture. Dauwd takes found sounds, scattering bleeps and vocal sighs and layers them over hollow bass thrusts. Mechanical yet warm, it’s Dauwd’s percussive textures that really make the track.

Ghostly International and Picture Music will jointly release ‘Heat Division’ on 11th March 2013.
