Eric Cantona is launching his own singing career, teases debut single & UK tour
Eric Cantona has announced he'll be launching his own singing career and has already given fans a teaser trailer of his debut single.
The former Manchester United legend shared the news on Instagram yesterday, posting a preview of the Shakespearian-style music video for his upcoming track.
Cantona has also launched his own website, where fans can create their own membership card and receive access to meet and greet opportunities and “privileged access” to live events.
Set for release next Friday (June 2) via Decca, the new track was written and composed by Cantona himself, and marks his first official release as a musician. “I’m going to release my first single,” he simply wrote in the caption.
To mark the dawn of his newly-launched career as a singer, Cantona has also announced three upcoming live shows in the UK and Ireland.
Kicking off in Manchester on October 26, the first show of the ‘Cantona Sings Eric’ tour will take place at Stoller Hall, while the second will take place in London’s Bloomsbury Theatre two days later (October 28).
