Headie One is in Barack Obama's Summer Playlist
Obama has revealed his Summer Playlist for 2020, a tradition that’s seen him share a selection of his favourite tracks from the season.
Alongside US artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Frank Ocean and Billie Eilish are a selection from the UK, including Headie One, Young T & Bugsey, Little Simz and Jorja Smith.
The playlist also features performers at this year’s Democratic National Convention, including Maggie Rogers, Common, John Legend and Leon Bridges.
Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family. I wanted to share some of my favorites from the summer—including songs from some of the artists at this week’s @DemConvention. Hope you enjoy it. pic.twitter.com/2ZFwdN46jR

Headie One recently linked up with Drake on the ‘Only You’ freestyle and collaborated with producer Fred Again.. for ‘GANG’, a mixtape featuring FKA twigs, Sampha and Jamie xx.
Obama has previously been known for having a Midas touch when it comes to selling records, provoking a 409% increase in downloads of Al Green’s ‘Let’s Stay Together’ after he sang it in 2012, as well as a decent and eclectic music taste over the years.
