Joy Crookes and Denzel Curry Team Up On 'Painkiller'

First taste of new material from Crookes since previous album 'Juniper'.

Joy Crookes is back with new music, following a rework of her football fan favourite, 'Feet Don't Fail Me Now' with Ravyn Lenae.

New track 'Painkiller' is a collaboration with Denzel Curry, who provides a tight rap verse two thirds of the way through the track.

While the link up might be unexpected, Denzel's flow melds smoothly into the track's red wine-soaked, neo-soul production, a perfect accompaniment to Crookes buttery, smokey vocals.

The cinematic music video, starring Crookes, tracks the trajectory of a tumultuous relationship; from the loved-up early days to the fights and drunken nights, which find Crookes in a karaoke bar, crooning away her pain.

'Painkiller' is out now via RCA Records.
