Paris Club FVTVR Launches Its Own Label With A Double Vinyl Spanning Generations Of Techno
FVTVR, the Parisian club that opened on the banks of the Seine in 2024, is starting a record label. The first release, ‘FVTVR-001’, is an eight-track double vinyl due in mid-January 2027.
The label is pitched as an extension of the club rather than a side project, a way of giving lasting form to the music and people who pass through its nights. The tracklist reflects that. It pairs Techno pioneer Steve Bicknell with newer names who are regular fixtures on the club’s lineups: Ignez, Tauceti, Rebecca Delle Piane, Kian Gast, Mathys Lenne, Adriana Lopez and Louis The 4th. Each contributes an original track. The idea is to set those generations side by side and trace the lineage between them, rather than stake out one sound.
Visuals are built into the model. Every release will carry a work from a commissioned visual artist, along with a capsule collection, and the first goes to Harry Nuriev, founder of Crosby Studios, whose work spans art, design, architecture and fashion. He has made the artwork for the double vinyl and a collection of objects that extends it.
“We see the label as the soundtrack to the nights at the club,” says artistic director Emmanuel Gunther, who describes a catalogue documented release by release through artists who live and work in Paris, alongside international names who treat FVTVR as home.
The club itself sits beneath the Cité de la Mode et du Design, built around the physical experience of sound, with raw concrete architecture, an L-Acoustics system and lighting by Matière Noire. In two years it has hosted Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Ben Klock, Ki/Ki, Boys Noize and Fjaak, along with Arca, FKA Twigs, Eartheater and Sega Bodega. It has also become a hub for fashion and art, with programmes during Paris Fashion Week and Art Basel Paris.
The label launches with a night on Friday 13th November, running from 9pm until noon the next day. Six of the featured producers, Kian Gast, Tauceti, Mathys Lenne, Rebecca Delle Piane, Steve Bicknell and Ignez, will play across the 15 hours. The first audio excerpts from the record arrive on 12th November.
