Stormzy took home two Brit Awards last night and broke the internet
Stormzy has won two awards at the 2018 Brit Awards. The grime artist took home the Best British Solo Artist and Best British Album awards, beating the likes of Ed Sheeran, double award-winning Dua Lipa, Liam Gallagher and Rag ‘n’ Bone Man with his number one debut project, Gang Signs & Prayer. After two controversial years where the ceremony failed to award urban stars, Stormzy’s win has been heralded as a major step forward for the scene and British music as a whole.
The south London rapper later took to the stage to perform a rendition of ‘Blinded By Your Grace Pt. 2’ containing a freestyle that criticised UK Prime Minister Theresa May for the handling of the Grenfell Tower tragedy, and telling The Daily Mail to do something lewd to his private parts. A real man of the people, that Stormzy.
Check out his chilling performance, along with tweets celebrating his wins, below.

Stormzy brought religion, politics, and road to the #BRITs Backed it for Grenfell, gave a shout out to Daniel Kaluuya & Jourdan Dunn, sang in the rain, and didn’t get muted once. He’s a legit national treasure
