keiyaA Drops Dreamy New Single and Music Video for 'k.i.s.s.'

Car wash fantasy meets R&B flirtation and emotional excavation on new release.

Ahead of the release of her second album ‘hooke’s law’ dropping this Friday, Chicago-born, NYC-based artist keiyaA unveils the record's final preview: the yearning, slow-blooming new single ‘k.i.s.s.’

Accompanied by a vivid video co-directed with longtime collaborator Caity Arthur, the track and visual expand the multidisciplinary world-building that has come to define keiyaA’s work.

Set in a soap-slicked car wash fantasy, the video places keiyaA at the centre of a flirtatious encounter that spirals into choreography; a loving nod to the playful swagger of late ’90s and early ’00s R&B classics. Yet, as with all of her creations, she twists nostalgia into something unmistakably her own: intimate, self-aware, and rich with emotional texture.

Fresh from supporting Ravyn Lenae on tour, keiyaA also announces two headline shows in the US:

  • 21st November – The Echo, Los Angeles
  • 16th December – Nightclub 101, New York

On Tuesday night, keiyaA celebrated ‘hooke’s law’ with an NYC listening party at Telfar’s downtown HQ, featuring a conversation with writer Ruth Gebreyesus and a DJ set from Archangel.

A multidisciplinary force across music, choreography, poetry, and theatre, keiyaA has spent the past year deepening her artistic universe. Her debut stage play, ‘milk thot’, and upcoming record, ‘hooke’s law’, exist as twin works: one a ritual of deconstruction and rebirth, the other a sonic reconstruction of the self. Both dissolve boundaries between performer and audience, narrative and memory, ego and shadow - forming a continuum of radical introspection.

'k.i.s.s.' is out now via XL Recordings.
