TaliaBle brings punk to the ends with new 'ZINC!' visual

North London's TaliaBle returns with a ferocious new visual for her latest single 'ZINC!'.

After dropping her previous track 'MEZMERIZED' alongside a cinematic music video back in September, the rising figure is maintaining the high standards set by herself with this dreamy, hallucinogenic latest offering.

Speaking about the meaning behind the track, TaliaBle tells DMY: "Like a lot of my music, this track is for those who silence or shrink themselves In order to conform to society's ideologies. This song is saying yes I’ve been numb, I've seen rogue, but now I’ve unlocked my boldest form, and I'm owning it and channelling it through art – for me that’s the ultimate vice.

"There's also a dual meaning in the song which I’ve been exploring a lot in my new unreleased music," she adds. "From my experience, navigating the creative industry can often feel similar to navigating your ends which is becoming gentrified. For example there’s this comfort and strong understanding of your art/passion/home/reality but then that can become tampered with by opportunists/capitalists/ yuppies/dream sellers. This sense of the undesired then becoming hugely desired conjures a lot of questions and realisations for me."

The high-energy punk sound proliferating 'ZINC!' translates incredibly well during TaliaBle's live shows, where the song often descends into frenzied moshpits. Typically associated with a male-dominated crowd, TaliaBle wants to make moshing accessible to everyone and incorporates this open-minded ethos into her performances.

"Moshpits can be a risky way to vibe since you’re jumping around recklessly. But usually it tends to attach to toxic masculinity and violence with it originating from hardcore punk," explains TaliaBle.

"At my shows a lot of people come up to me at the end saying it’s the first time they’ve participated in a moshpit and it's usually queer/nonbinary people and females," she continues. "I’ve latched onto that being my mission now when performing: to get people moving or at least releasing some sort of pent up emotion.

"I want to create a comfortable space where people can loosen up and push the boundaries for themselves - trying something new without fear and with only fun. ZINC! is now the catalyst for bringing that crazy vibe, moulding people out of metal into something fluid."
