Bloc weekender to return to Butlins Minehead in 2015
Bloc will return to the Butlins resort in Minehead for its 2015 edition, and they've announced a slew of heavy-hitters from the techno and house worlds as their first 12 acts.
Taking place from March 13th to March 15th, Bloc will bring the likes of Jeff Mills, Jackmaster, Carl Craig, Hudson Mohawke, Omar S, Modeselektor, and more to Minehead.
Lest we forget, the Minehead location was Bloc's spiritual home, and the promoters sold out the weekendlong festivals held at the resort from 2007 to 2011. In 2012, they moved the festival to London, something which didn't really go too well, with the festival getting cancelled halfway through and leaving a lot of people very angry.
Bloc actually went into administration following this, but returned with a new, low-key location in 2013 and have been steadily rebuilding trust with ticket buyers. By the looks of it, they're looking to heal those wounds the good old fashioned way: by booking very, very good acts.
